FlipisArt is a good, fast, and easy way of creating pro-looking flipping books from existing PDF files. The resulting e-book is a Flash-based SWF file embedded into a full HTML document that you can view using your favorite Internet browser. The whole conversion process is as simple as they come, and the flip page effect produced is of a reasonable quality.

FlipisArt can only create one flipping book at a time. To compensate for the lack of batch-processing capabilities, the conversion itself is a really fast process. The program, however, does not create the flipping book right away – it merely converts into JPG files the pages of the original PDF file and shows them to you (no flip page effect is available at this stage) so that you can have a basic preview of what the resulting flipping book will look like. You will be able to check not only the quality of the images created, but also the overall navigation that will be added to the final e-book.

If you are happy with the preview, you are required to click on the Export button, which will create a new folder to store all the resulting files. These include – among others - a JPG image of every page of the book, an SWF video of each page and an extra one for the whole book, and an HTML index page, which will allow you to open your book in any Internet browser. The final product is reasonably good and easy to navigate, taking into account that no customization settings are available. more
